Michael brings over 20 years of finance industry experience to Hogan. Previously, he served as Director of Real Estate Finance for NVR, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, based in Reston, VA. There he held responsibility for structuring the financing of NVR’s land holdings and development activities, having raised over $200 million of acquisition and development capital. Additionally, his responsibilities included the budgeting and financial management of the land development associated with those holdings and related joint ventures.

Prior to NVR, Michael led the acquisition strategy and project finance activities for Areva SA, a $2.5 billion energy infrastructure company. He began his career in investment banking with Citigroup Global Markets, with over 10 years of experience structuring acquisition financing for major private equity clients.

Mr. Higgins obtained his MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and his Bachelors degree in Economics from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, VA.
